About Granger, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Granger, IN is located in St. Joseph County and has a population of about 31,000 residents. The median income is about $100,000 and the median home value is around $200,000. The weather is typical of the Midwestern area with cold winters and hot summers. Kids are sledding in the snow in December and slathering on the sunscreen in the summer. Parents consider it a great place to raise kids for this, and many other, reasons.
Granger is small and quaint but certainly not “dead.” The nearby town of Mishawaka is home to the Evil Czech Brewery. The modern and fun eatery and brewery was founded by George Pesek. The restaurant is known for using only the highest quality ingredients and having sensational customer service in an inviting environment. They carry a line of unbelievable hand-crafted brews that will match any occasion, mood or season. Check out a dark brew in the winter and sip on a blonde in the summer.
If you are interested in local history, then you need to check out The Studebaker National Museum in South Bend. The facility features a large assortment of wagons and automobiles from the history of the Studebaker Corporation. The museum started as a collection that included the presidential carriages of Lincoln, McKinley, Harrison, and Grant. In 1966, Studebaker donated the collection to the city of South Bend in 1966 and it has been housed in various locations over the last 50 years. It is now housed in Downtown South Bend, adjacent to the History Museum, with which it shares a campus. This is a great activity for winter break when the kids are home and the weather is chilly. Get the family out to learn a bit and enjoy some quality time.
